On May 29, 2013, members of AzASTA and other local agents met at the Coast Hotel (closest property to the 44th Street & Washington PHX Sky Train station) for a hotel site inspection, great appetizers, and tour of the PHX Sky Train. Representatives of the Phoenix Sky Harbor Aviation Department, Jason Gitkin and "Sky Train Steve" Grubbs provided an enlightening slide show presentation outlining the new way to move travelers and workers in and out of the airport. Afterwards, we all donned individual headsets and followed our guides across the street to ride the train. The brand new facility which opened May 2013, features beautiful artwork and customer-friendly services. The Phoenix Sky Train connects Terminal 4, East Economy Parking and the METRO light rail. Highlights of the tour are outlined below. In case you couldn't attend, we have included some photos of our experience. This is the fourth year we've teamed up with Sky Harbor and those that participated all feel that this was the most rewarding.
